MTN signs enterprise partnership with BT Group

MTN Group has formed a strategic alliance with BT Group that will see the UK-based firm offer business services to MTN’s African enterprise customers.

The first service offered by the partners will be a security operations centre (SOC) service, which features a cloud-based platform for security incident and event management (SIEM), allowing enterprises greater insight into their security offerings.

The cooperation between the firms is significant given that MTN chief Rob Shuter was appointed CEO of BT Enterprise last year following a three-year stint at South African group. The partnership will afford MTN’s customers access to consultancy, connectivity, voice and UCC services.

BT provides services to Africa and the Middle East from its hubs in Dubai, Istanbul and Johannesburg.
