Kyrgyzstan’s state-owned MegaCom has rebranded as MEGA.
Registered as Alfa Telecom, the operator will change its logo and slogan in the first phase of its rebranding campaign, reports Telecompaper. Its website, mobile apps and product suite will form the second phase.
The operator’s CEO Nurlan Mamytov hailed the exercise as the start of major changes that MEGA plans to introduce in 2023, optimising its operations and taking strides towards digital development. Mamytov added that MEGA planned to increase the transparency of its communication with customers, thereby boosting subscriber satisfaction.
“We are trying to open new opportunities for our subscribers, we offer mobile and high-quality innovative products, relevant digital services and communication services that create comfortable conditions for the lives of Kyrgyz citizens” said Mamytov. “MEGA is planning to meet the needs of our subscribers and strengthen its leading position in the market of mobile communication operators in Kyrgyzstan.”
In a statement, MEGA said that across 2023 it planned to continue its network coverage expansion, particularly in more remote regions of Kyrgyzstan, as well as boosting its quality of service.
