Indosat and Ericsson launch platform to boost Indonesia’s digital transformation

Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) and Ericsson have unveiled a full-stack Digital Monetisation Platform (DMP), which the companies claim will drive Indonesia’s digital transformation.

In a statement, IOH highlighted that the DMP stack includes the migration of prepaid subscribers, showcasing “advancements in Indonesia’s digital capabilities.”

The platform is part of Ericsson’s Telecom Business Support System (BSS) portfolio, enabling IOH to enhance digital services such as 5G and B2B solutions. Real-time monetisation allows IOH to meet diverse customer demands and capitalise on 5G advancements, including network slicing, the statement claimed.

IOH President Director and CEO Vikram Sinha said: “The successful deployment of the DMP is a testament to the spirit of ‘Gotong Royong’—a collaborative effort uniting all stakeholders towards our common goal. This partnership with Ericsson will help Indosat to elevate service quality and deliver a remarkable experience to our customers. Through real-time monetisation and a highly adaptable platform, we are enabling new business models that will drive growth across the industry.”

Ericsson Indonesia President Director Krishna Patil added: “We are confident that, by deploying a full-stack DMP, Indosat can improve customer services while ensuring a smooth transition to the 5G network. Our long-standing partnership supports Indosat’s transformation and accelerates digitalisation across the country.”

Additionally, Ericsson and IOH have signed an MoU to co-develop innovations in generative AI and machine learning within the DMP and BSS ecosystems.
