Zimbabwe operators now share 267 sites

The Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (POTRAZ) announced that Telecel, NetOne and Econet are now sharing 267 sites.

In a social media post to update the regulator’s progress on network sharing, POTRAZ also stated the operators are expanding their coverage by leasing towers from state-owned operator and fibre broadband provider TelOne.

Additionally, the operators are also renting infrastructure from public industries such as the National Railways of Zimbabwe, Transmedia, ZIMRA and local authorities to use high rise buildings and street lights.
