Infrastructure vendor Mavenir announced it will supply Paradise Mobile equipment for the construction of its 4G and 5G network core, as the operator prepares for a commercial launch this year.
Mavenir detailed in a statement, it will provide gear that enables Paradise Mobile to provide better bandwidth and latency for users and enable new services and products.
The network is being built from the ground up and contains interoperable components and O-RAN based radios.
Paradise Mobile co-Founder and CEO Sam Tabbara said: “We look forward to bringing cutting-edge technology and experiences, real consumer choice, and competition when we launch in Bermuda in 2023. The partnership between Paradise Mobile and Mavenir in Bermuda is the first announcement in a series of network modernizations planned across other islands.”
