Canal+ Telecom taps Nokia for Caribbean fibre upgrade

Canal+ Telecom tapped Nokia to upgrade its fibre network French Guiana and Guadeloupe, to deploy a future-proof network and meet growing demand in the regions.
Nokia said in a statement, it will deploy its Lightspan and Altiplano solution to upgrade the Canal+ Group subsidiary. The vendor added there will be higher levels of automation on the Canal+ Telecom network and service operations.
Canal+ will deploy Nokia's Lightspan Mini Optical Line Terminal (OLT) solution to help accelerate the roll out of Fibre-to-the Home (FTTH) services across the French Caribbean territories.
“As the first operator in the Caribbean to adopt Nokia’s Altiplano platform, we are pioneering intelligent network automation that anticipates and resolves issues proactively, ensuring exceptional reliability and an elevated experience for our customers,” said Canal+ Telecom Head of Network and Fixed Access Engineering, Laurent Champouret.
