Centre of Excellence brings Microsoft specialists to Mumbai

Sogeti, a member of Capgemini Group, has announced that it will open a global Microsoft Office SharePoint Server Centre of Excellence in Mumbai, India. The centre will offer customers a dedicated network of expert Microsoft Office SharePoint Server engineers; this group will supplement Sogeti's current global team of 6,000 Microsoft practice engineers.

The Centre of Excellence is located in Mumbai, India and will include a team of over 200 elite Microsoft Office SharePoint Server specialists by the end of 2008 and 1,000 by the end of 2009. This team of specialists, in addition to catering to global customer needs, will work directly with Sogeti subsidiaries worldwide to enable seamless integration between onshore and offshore resources, thus improving the service provided.

Sogeti and Microsoft have developed an intensive training programme for the specialists at the centre, which focuses on Microsoft Office SharePoint Server applications with a special emphasis on Enterprise Search, Portals, Enterprise Content Management, and interfacing with line of business applications.
