VoIP / GSM Operator Expands Value Added Services

MTU Gruppen AS, a Norwegian VoIP and wireless operator, has contracted CBOSS Corporation to supply and deploy a range of value-added products to broaden it's bundle of value added services. As voice becomes a commodity, service providers need new killer apps to boost ARPU and generate revenue across all customer segments.

To deliver this, wireless operators need a well-balanced bundle of high-quality and attractive value-added services, one of the keys to success in today's highly competitive telecommunicatons market.

Striving to expand its VAS portfolio, a Norwegian telecommunications group MTU has contracted CBOSS Corporation to supply and deploy its time-tested value-added products. CBOSS and MTU have been succefully cooperating since 2007, when MTU bought Teletopia AS with convergent solution from CBOSS preinstalled.

During this time, the solution demonstrated reliability, functionality and usability and, consequently, CBOSS became the vendor of choice for MTU's value-added services. Within a short time, CBOSS delivered a full-scale bundle of value-added services, featuring the lowest TCO in its class and requiring no additional integration costs, as all CBOSS products are seamlessly pre-integrated.

Under the current contract, MTU's VAS bundle included the short message service center CBOSSsms, multimedia messaging service center CBOSSmms, and voice/fax mail system CBOSSvmail. The bundle enabled MTU to offer a wide range of highly attractive services to its customers with guaranteed quality and availability.

  • CBOSSsms is a high-performance messaging solution, providing all functions of a state-of-the-art SMSC alongside a wide range of additional features
  • CBOSSmms enables subscribers not only to exchange multimedia postcards, images, and tones, but also to participate in MMS games, chats and dating, and download rich multimedia content from different content providers
  • CBOSSvmail allows the sending of voice or fax messages to an unavailable subscriber's mailbox operating as a multi-channel feature-rich answering machine. CBOSSvmail offers an operator the competitive advantage of improved customer care and can deliver marketing news to subscriber mailboxes

"Aiming to expand its value-added service offering, one of the MTU Group's companies implemented products from CBOSS", says Jo Einride Lid Lerheim, CEO at MTU Nett AS. "We are sure that the wide functionality and flexibility of CBOSS solutions will allow us to achieve our goals in record time and considerably increase efficiency of our business".

The intellectual and technological capital of CBOSS Corporation is a powerful driver behind the business success of many telecommunications companies in 34 countries of the world. Perfection of technogies, underlying the entire portfolio of CBOSS products, prevents potential risks, minimizes investments, and guarantees that your business objectives will be achieved.
