Vietnamese telco MobiFone has launched a new digital MVNO brand, Saymee, which is aimed at Gen Z subscribers and powered by a cloud-native SaaS platform from software and services provider Amdocs.
The Saymee digital service – which sports features like free GPT chat and a loyalty program – runs on connectX, Amdocs’ turnkey "telco-in-a-box" platform powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS), which enables telcos and MVNOs to launch flexible and versatile digital services quickly.
According to Amdocs, MobiFone can leverage connectX accelerate the launch of new offers on Saymee, enhance operational efficiency, and simplify customer journeys and management of multiple mobile subscription plans.
This enables MobiFone to support the ever-changing requirements of young subscribers and manage the dynamic demands of the MVNO market, said Anthony Goonetilleke, group president of technology and head of strategy at Amdocs, in a statement on Tuesday.
"A top priority for telcos is to create and launch standout brands that deliver elevated user experiences, drive business growth and boost profitability," Goonetilleke said in a statement.
Goonetilleke described connectX as an AI-native solution that includes a comprehensive SaaS offering, featuring a catalog, subscription services management, a mobile app, and integration of local payment gateways and network aggregators – all of which “enables telcos to craft a complete digital offering with flexibility and minimum risks.”
