Mobile subscribers in Ghana will soon have access to new content services via a partnership between MVAS developed Kirusa and wireless applications provider txtGhana.
The services will be delivered via an open platform supporting industry standard VoiceXML and subscription management, and will encompass diverse content categories, including religious, motivational and lifestyle. The Kirusa platform provides a framework for third party application developers and content providers to offer and monetise innovative voice and content services to mobile subscribers.
Initial launch will be through leading mobile carriers in Ghana, leveraging the platform deployed at these mobile carriers. Combined with the geographical reach of txtAfrica, parent company of txtGhana, Kirusa’s substantial presence in Africa will allow for the expansion of the services across the continent.
