App distribution program launching across Latin America

A new initiative being launched by a major Latin American advertiser will enable app developers worldwide to distribute their apps across a portfolio of associated publishers, ad networks and exchanges in Latin America.

Mobile advertising agency StartMeApp’s Boost App program is an end-to-end app distribution solution that centralises administrative, monitoring, reporting and billing tasks. It allows developers to focus on optimising their apps, and enables publishers to distribute and monetise them efficiently.

“StartMeApp is very pleased to be offering the ‘Boost App’ program to mobile app developers  worldwide who are seeking an efficient, cost-effective means of entering the Latin American and U.S. Hispanic markets with their applications,” said Alejandro Campos Carles, Co-Managing Director and Founder, StartMeApp.

As smartphone usage and mobile ad viewing increase rapidly throughout Latin America, mobile application developers from countries around the globe are increasingly looking for ways of delivering their apps across as wide a market as possible.

Research conducted during 1Q-2012 by Ipsos Media CT on behalf of Google shows there are currently more smartphone users in Brazil than in either Germany or France, while the region’s second largest market, Mexico, currently has a 20% penetration rate, with a total of 23 million smartphone users nationwide. At the same time, Argentina’s 24% penetration rate means that smartphone uptake among its population is greater than per-capital smartphone uptake in Germany just one year ago.

StartMeApp’s independent and network-agnostic approach enables it to maintain relations with multiple publishers, ad networks and exchanges operating in the Latin American and U.S. Hispanic markets, ensuring its ability to recommend the most appropriate distribution of applications and content in line with the app owner business objectives.
