Yandex Data Factory, the big data analytics arm of Russian search engine provider Yandex, has announced a new partnership with VimpelCom subsidiary brand Beeline.
Using Yandex's proprietary technologies, the two companies will work together to create solutions that will enable Beeline to better predict mobile subscribers churn, forecast demand for mobile internet services, improve call-centre sales force efficiency and optimise its advertising spend through personalised targeting. The stack of Yandex's technologies to be used in this project includes machine learning technology, MatrixNet, behaviour analytics technology Crypta, the company’s own look-alike targeting technology, and its natural voice processing technology, SpeechKit.
“Beeline’s existing solutions will be enhanced by the predictive and recommendation models that Yandex Data Factory will develop for them” commented Jane Zavalishina, head of Yandex Data Factory. “Large volumes of data and a focus to improve customer service makes telecommunications an attractive market with great potential for machine learning technologies.”
