Edotco Bangladesh teams with Tiger New Energy for green power

Telecoms infrastructure provider Edotco Bangladesh said on Monday it has signed an MoU with clean mobility and energy firm Tiger New Energy to deploy sustainable power systems for both telecom towers and electric vehicles across Bangladesh.

The partnership will see Edotco and Tiger New Energy piloting services such as a subscription-based battery backup system that provides uninterrupted power to telecom towers.

Other pilot projects include battery swapping stations and charging station systems for electric vehicles that reduce charging time and make clean power more accessible for communities.

Edotco said the pilot aims to not only ensure uninterrupted telecom services, but also reduce fossil fuel dependency and support Bangladesh’s national sustainability agenda by reducing carbon emissions and enhancing energy equity.

“This partnership is more than just a technological advancement – it’s a bold step toward a greener, more inclusive digital future,” said Sunil Isaac, country managing director of Edotco Bangladesh. "By integrating clean energy with smart infrastructure, we are enabling sustainable connectivity and real impact for the communities we serve."

“These innovative solutions open new pathways to affordable, clean energy, reduce carbon emissions, and help everyday citizens participate in a greener future,” added Ms. Nicole Mao, co-founder and CEO of Tiger New Energy. “This is shared progress in action.”
