The Intelligent Operations Roundtable Meeting, hosted by Huawei in collaboration with TM Forum (Telecom Management Forum), has garnered significant attention from the industry.
The conference brought together over 50 global operator executives and industry experts with the goal of "co-building intelligent operations and co-creating industry prosperity." Through a collaborative model of "experience sharing, scenario co-creation, and achievement showcase," drive joint innovation for intelligent operations industry.
With the rapid evolution of ICT infrastructure and the continuous emergence of new services, the complexity of operations and maintenance is increasing, creating an urgent need for intelligent operations transformation. Attendees at the conference shared their progress and achievements through the transformation and engaged in lively discussions on cutting-edge topics such as the application of GenAI-based agents/ copilots, data-driven network digital twins, and transformation evaluation & metrics systems. Participants unanimously agreed that AI/GenAI and DTN technologies are reshaping operations models, transitioning from experience-driven to a dual-driven approach combining AI/GenAI and digital twins network.
Aaron, VP of TM Forum, stated, "Over the past two years, Huawei and TM Forum have jointly released the New-Generation Intelligent Operations White Paper 1.0 & 2.0, systematically proposing transformation architectures and solutions. Currently, 11 operators have joined the collaboration creation team, providing valuable insights and practical experience for the evolution of the intelligent operations industry. We hope more industry partners will join in the future to co-create industry prosperity."
Building on over two decades of experience in the operations domain, Huawei has combined AI/GenAI technologies with practical scenarios based on the three 3 GenAI-based assistants—FO/FME/BO Copilot—released in 2024. These solutions have been widely implemented and adapted to various foundation models, including DeepSeek R1 and Pangu-S, effectively addressing industry pain points and improving key operations effectiveness indicators such as FCR, MTTR, and fault diagnosis accuracy. In 2024, Huawei received multiple awards from industry organizations such as TM Forum and GLOTEL.
Lucas Lu, President of Huawei's ICT Assurance and Operation Services Domain, stated, "Moving forward, Huawei will continue to innovate in the field of intelligent operations transformation alongside TM Forum and global operators. Through initiatives like the MAMA (Measuring and Managing Autonomy) collaboration project, Catalyst co-innovation projects, and the Intelligent Operations White Paper, we will accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements into practical operations capabilities, create more business value, and jointly build an open and collaborative innovation consortium. Together, we will create a bright future for intelligent operations!"
