Telkom Indonesia’s international arm Telin says it has signed a MoU with Phillippine telecoms service provider Radius Telecoms to boost cross-border connectivity services for enterprises in the Philippines.
Under the MoU, signed at last week’s International Telecoms Week event in the US, Radius will resell Telin’s international ethernet private lease circuit (IEPL) services to local enterprises. Both companies will launch annual joint go-to-market initiatives offering tailored solutions to Philippine businesses.
Meanwhile, Radius will integrate its local infrastructure, including its PoP, into Telin’s digital connectivity platform, TNeX. Telin said this will allow businesses across the Philippines to access Telin’s global network services from a single online platform.
Telin’s chief commercial officer Kharisma said the deal with Radius will help accelerate international data services and connectivity across the Southeast Asia region, as well as serve Telin’s ambitions to expand its global footprint and strengthen its presence in the region.
“By uniting Telin’s international reach with Radius’ local strength, we’re delivering seamless, scalable solutions that will help businesses grow regionally and globally,” he said in a statement.
Radius – the telecoms subsidiary of Manila-based power company Meralco – operates one of the largest end-to-end fibre optic networks in the Philippines with a core network capacity of more than 1.2 Tbps. Its service portfolio for enterprises includes data, internet, managed services, cloud services, SD-WAN and security as a service (SECaaS).
Radius president and CEO Exequiel “Quiel” C. Delgado noted that its stronghold areas in Mega Manila, Clark, the rest of Central Luzon, and Cebu are key hot spots for multinational companies.
“This partnership strengthens and expands Radius's reach internationally, which translates to better options for our enterprise customers,” he said.
