Prepaid to postpaid money transfer launching in Pakistan

A new service offered by Pakistani operator Warid Telecom will allow prepaid subscribers to transfer balance to postpaid users. This is the first time a service of this nature has launched in Pakistan.

The service is extremely simple, with subscribers simply needing to text a code involving the intended recipient’s phone number and the amount of credit.

While there is no limit to the amount that can be transferred, the rate of tax will be 5% for transactions over Rs. 50, but just 2.5% for smaller amounts.
