Myriad Updates launched in Cameroon, Congo, Senegal, Costa Rica and El Salvador

Myriad Group has announced that its Myriad Updates service, including Facebook for USSD, has recently been launched in association with the Orange Group in Cameroon, Congo & Senegal, and Movistar in Costa Rica & El Salvador.

These recent launches bring the total number of Orange affiliates in which the service is live to 9, and the total number of Movistar affiliates to 3. The total number of countries where Myriad Updates is now available has increased to fifteen.

Myriad Updates is a ubiquitous, text‐based social mobile messaging service that provides users with simple, low‐cost access to a range of services over USSD that include social networking and messaging. Accessible on any mobile device, subscribers can easily connect for example to Facebook without having to purchase a data plan, upgrade to a new mobile phone or even download an app.

Stephen Dunford, CEO of Myriad Group, commented: “We are delighted to be able to support the Orange Group and Movistar in launching Myriad Updates in Cameroon, Congo & Senegal, and Costa Rica & El Salvador respectively, as they look to bring new mobile Internet based services to their customers in a simple, economical way. With Myriad Updates customers will be able to join the world’s largest online social networking communities at the lowest possible cost.”
