Telekom Romania Communications has selected RAD’s Carrier Ethernet CE 2.0 MEF-certified demarcation devices to facilitate the delivery of wholesale broadband connectivity to international service providers.
“Given the accelerated evolution of customers’ demands from legacy to new generation Ethernet-based services and the shift from the local to global market, we focused on developing our capability to provide the best standardised solutions featuring improved classes of services, service manageability and interoperability,” explains Sonia Radut, Products and Business Development Romania Project Manager, Telekom Romania Group.
RAD’s ETX-2, an element in its Service Assured Access portfolio, provides advanced Layer 2 and Layer 3 demarcation for SLA-based services. It is designed to lower costs for operating the solution and increase efficiency with an extensive service lifecycle toolkit that can be implemented in a variety of deployment modes over any access infrastructure.
The contract was facilitated by ICG, a local RAD partner in Romania, which will also provide logistical and technical support to Telekom Romania Communications during the deployment process.
