Smart deploying Astellia’s Service Management in the Philippines

Astellia is implementing its managed services platform for the Filipino operator Smart.

The deployment is aimed at bringing network quality, operational efficiency and subscriber experience up to a higher level.

In the Philippines, where mobile penetration continues to grow and competition is fierce, Smart has to manage complex multi-technology networks which are experiencing a surge in important data traffic due to the greater use of multimedia content fuelled by the significant increase of smartphones. Astellia’s vendor-independent solution and expertise in voice & data service optimisation proved a fitting solution.

Astellia has deployed a Service Management Platform solution covering Smart’s 2G and 3G networks. Through a unique set of personalised dashboards Astellia provides in real-time a very comprehensive view of network quality and service usage; the solution is therefore used on a daily basis by more than 50 employees to investigate customer complaints and take proactive measures.
