Kacific Broadband Satellites Group announced it has signed a strategic partnership deal with telecoms and data network service provider Supernet Limited to resell Kacific’s satellite broadband solutions in rural areas across Pakistan.
Under an agreement signed last week, Supernet will serve as an authorised reseller of Kacific’s products and services, leveraging its extensive market presence and technical capabilities to bring satellite connectivity to communities and enterprises in targeted rural areas.
Supernet will promote and distribute Kacific’s satellite broadband solutions, and acquire and support customers in underserved and remote regions. The two companies will also share satellite knowledge and co-develop strategies for key markets and sectors.
The reseller agreement comes several months after Kacific officially entered the Pakistan market via a partnership deal with satellite operator Paksat International and Pakistan’s national space agency, the Space & Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO).
Kacific and Paksat are using 11 Ka-band spot beams on the Paksat-MM1 geostationary satellite to deliver high-throughput capacity for over 20,000 sites in remote regions for communities, businesses, government agencies, ISPs, and telcos, to include mobile backhaul and backup connectivity.
Kacific CEO Christian Patouraux said in a statement that the partnership with Supernet will accelerate distribution and adoption of Kacific’s broadband solutions in rural areas across Pakistan.
“Supernet’s strong footprint and proven track record in delivering telecom services make them an ideal partner to amplify the reach and impact of our satellite solutions in Pakistan and beyond,” Patouraux said.
“Kacific’s powerful satellite capabilities will significantly enhance our ability to serve the connectivity needs of even the most isolated communities,” said Zia Tariq, head of defense sales and satcom products at Supernet Limited.
