Cloud-based unified services coming to Latvia

Latvia’s largest service provider will soon offer its business customers cloud-based unified communications and collaboration services. The integrated communications and IT service provider Lattelecom will base its offering on a UC&C platform from VOSS Solutions.

The VOSS platform is the core of the Cisco Hosted Unified Communications Solution, a converged IP communications system. VOSS is designed for the delivery of managed UC&C services to multiple large scale customers.

The platform has been deployed across Lattelcom’s infrastructure, allowing the provider to offer UC&C services across the Baltic States. The first customer to be deployed onto Lattelecom’s UC&C platform is an agency of the Latvian government.

Stefan Peters, VP Sales EMEA, commented; “VOSS has enabled Lattelecom to offer complex bundles of next generation UC&C services to multiple business customers, regardless of their size and dispersion.”

The real-time UC&C platform provides Lattelecom with the tools to add new customers seamlessly, and administer all customers from a single centralised dashboard. This simplifies technical and business processes, speeding time to market for UC&C services while significantly lowering the total cost of ownership over the lifecycle of each service. VOSS will also benefit Lattelecom’s business customers, by offering devolved administration, customizable interfaces, and simplified MACDs.
