Lifecell deploys first virtualised LTE network in Ukraine

Ukrainian operator lifecell has deployed the country’s first virtualised LTE core network, allowing it to deliver various next-generation mobile services.

NFV systems integrator Odine Solutions, together with Affirmed Networks, have handled the deployment. Odine was chosen by lifecell due to its record of delivering end-to-end systems-integration and managed services for MNOs deploying virtualised network functions and infrastructures in EMEA.

Our selection of Odine Solutions as the prime integrator combined with Affirmed Networks' cloud-native solution enables us to receive these benefits as we continue on our path to digital transformation and 5G readiness," said Mahmut Ünsal Erüreten, lifecell's CTO.
