Nepal ISP partners Facebook for better Wi-Fi delivery

WorldLink Communications Ltd, the largest internet service provider in Nepal, has announced a partnership with Facebook, or more accurately, Facebook Connectivity,  an umbrella platform for Facebook’s global internet connectivity initiatives, to deliver fast, affordable and reliable Wi-Fi in Nepal.

The partners will using Facebook’s Express Wi-Fi platform to provide fast, affordable and reliable Wi-Fi service to users, enabling WorldLink to strengthen and support 7,500 Wi-Fi hotspots out of its existing 10,000 Wi-Fi hotspots across Nepal. The hotspots serve more than half a million users per month.

Wi-Fi mobility is a value-added service provided by WorldLink, which is exclusive for WorldLink customers only. Currently, it is available in over 10,000 different locations in Nepal, including all major cities. After a basic initial setup on any smart devices, it gets automatically connected anywhere where there is myWorldLink WiFi access available.
