Astellia has signed a multi-million dollar agreement with Indian operator Aircel to optimise its 2G and 3G radio access and core network resources.
By deploying its Nova suite, Astellia will enable Aircel to detect impediments that may cause network quality degradations and promptly take corrective actions, thereby ensuring the availability and efficiency of the network.
Through this network optimisation, Aircel will be able to strengthen its OPEX and CAPEX strategies. Furthermore, Astellia will leverage customer analytics to help the operator understand and predict customer usage trends, optimise existing data plans or introduce new ones, address churn and optimise ROI on infrastructure investments.
“With fierce competition kicking in the Indian mobile market and the frenzied adoption of smartphones, consumers are becoming increasingly discerning in terms of service quality. We have teamed up with Astellia to get an increased visibility into our network performance to offer enhanced customer experience and improved operational efficiency”, said Sameer Dave, CTO, Aircel.
