Network testing company Ookla reported UAE-based operator Etisalat had the fastest mobile data speeds in 2020 so far.
Etisalat said in a statement, it was recognised as the fastest operator in Q1, Q2, and Q3 of this year.
Ookla conducted data speeds tests on millions of customers on every network across multiple applications.
The UAE operator beat stiff competition for its title with an overall Ookla Speed Score of 98.76Mbps.
Rivals included: SK Telecom (89.5Mbps), Qatar-based Ooredoo (87.80Mbps) and Bulgaria’s Vivacom (86.40Mbps), T-Mobile Netherlands (74.55Mbps), Canada's Telus (68.89Mbps).
