Telesur starts promoting 5G network with data tariffs

Suriname’s Telesur is offering high-volume mobile data bundles for users on both its 4G and 5G networks.

The operator’s commercial 5G network has been live in the nation’s capital of Paramaribo since December 2019, but Telesur has not heavily promoted this until now as it was deploying LTE-A upgrades in strategic locations to complement the offering.

As reported by TeleGeography, prepaid users on either network can purchase 50GB data packages lasting 30 days for SRD1,070 (US$75), while postpaid smartphone or data-only subscribers can get the same amount for slightly less (SRD980), but on a year-long contract.

Telesur is also aiming offers at the B2B market with a ‘5G Fixed Postpaid’ tariff, which provides 250GB for SRD1,325 per month on a one-year contract. This price includes a 5G fixed modem.
