Nine firms keen for Croatian 5G spectrum auction

Croatian regulator HAKOM confirmed that nine firms have applied to bid in the country’s upcoming 5G spectrum auctions.

TeleGeography reports that major players A1, Hrvatski Telekom (HT), and Telemach are all competing for national licences for the 700MHz, 3.5GHz and 26GHz bands. The latter band has also attracted the interest of Italian fixed-wireless provider EOLO.

The Italian firm is also set to bid on regional 3.5GHz concessions, where it will face competition from BeeIn, Digicom, Eco Net, Markoja and Terrakom.

The bidding will commence on 12th July.
