Etisalat goes for Personalised Services in Nigeria

Etisalat have announced that they have successfully implemented Oracle Communications’ Data Model. The Nigerian operator hopes that the investment in big data will aid them in the personalization of services and increase revenue.

Etisalat are now able to analyse data from multiple areas of their business, like customer billings, revenue and network usage, in near real time. They hope that the fruit of this analysis will be improved targeting and personalization of services and offers, and ultimately decreased customer churn and revenue leakage.

“Considering the current data explosion in the telecommunications space, it was critical for Etisalat to implement technologies capable of collecting and getting the most from data in its various markets.” said Bhaskar Gorti, senior vice president and general manager, Oracle Communications.
