Vodafone Ukraine renews Vodafone Group partnership

Vodafone Ukraine has extended its branding and access partnership with Vodafone Group.

While the Ukrainian operator is owned by Azerbaijan’s Bakcell after being sold by Russia’s MTS in December 2019, it provides services using the Vodafone brand via its partnership agreement. Vodafone Partner Markets has agreements with 28 companies across 43 markets.

The deal also grants it direct access to Vodafone Group’s procurement and roaming services. By extending the agreement, Vodafone Ukraine will be able to cooperate with the group further on consumer and enterprise products; for example, its IoT managed connectivity offering, which uses Vodafone Group’s international IoT platform.

A statement from Vodafone Group noted that this could lead to future cooperation on smart city solutions and public service digitalisation in Ukraine. The group confirmed that it was ready to offer operational and strategic support going forward.
