Sivers Semiconductors expands offerings to include new antenna arrays

Sivers Semiconductors, a specialist in photonics and wireless technologies, has unveiled a new line of antenna array products and evaluation kits for millimetre-wave satcom and 5G applications at MWC2025. These products, it says, represent a positive shift forward for Sivers’ Wireless Business Unit, from chips to antenna arrays.

These latest solutions also enable rapid design-in and accelerated time-to-market for customers, since the design, manufacturing and test of millimetre-wave antenna arrays, particularly large arrays targeting satcom and 5G infrastructure applications, is complex and time consuming.

Over the course of 2025, Sivers Wireless says it will introduce a number of products. They include an unlicensed 5G millimetre-wave (57-71GHz) 16-element transmit-receive single-aperture dual-polarised antenna array module supporting +34dBm EIRP standalone (higher with an integrated lens or reflector).

There will also be a 26.5-29.5GHz 5G millimetre-wave dual-polarised 128-element antenna array evaluation kit (EVK), satcom 17-21GHz receive and 27-31GHz transmit array panels for high-performance ground terminals, and a 24.25-27.5GHz 5G millimetre-wave dual-polarised 512-element antenna array panel based on Sivers’ SUMMIT 2427e beamforming IC.

Harish Krishnaswamy, Managing Director of the Wireless Division at Sivers Semiconductors, explains: "With our new products, Sivers is not only expanding our customer base, but also helping customers accelerate their time-to-market and reduce development costs – allowing Sivers Wireless to capture a greater share of the value in these rapidly growing markets."
