Satcoms company enhances presence in West Africa

ND SatCom, a German supplier of – and integrator for – satellite communication systems and solutions, has announced the acquisition of Tecna Suarl, a satellite transmission and radio telecommunications solutions provider based in Dakar, Senegal.

With new business growing for ND SatCom in West Africa, the company says that the need to establish a local presence became vital. This acquisition is described by ND SatCom as an important strategic move that will further enhance outreach and interaction between the company and its customers, partners and the leading communication companies in the West Africa region. Tecna Suarl has been renamed ND SatCom Senegal.

ND SatCom products and solutions are used in more than 200 transnational networks in government, military, telecom and broadcast environments. The company has been in existence for over 30 years. It has regional sales and support entities in Europe, Middle East, South America, South Africa, India, Indonesia, and China.

ND SatCom flagship product is the SKYWAN platform, an MF-TDMA VSAT system for establishing wide area networks.
