Bharti Telesoft has formed a partnership with Grand Technology, a telecom solution provider in the Middle East, notably in Yemen, for their Data Services Hub. The Data Services Hub is an end-to-end solution that enables operators to deploy messaging and mobile Internet services rapidly, including Instant Messaging, Multimedia Messaging, Phonebook Back-Up and Bharti Telesoft's recently launched Mobile Internet Gateway service. Operators will hook up to the Data Services Hub Solution and immediately be able to offer these services to their subscribers - without making any capex investment and dramatically reducing ongoing operational costs. By enabling operators to focus more closely on subscriber needs rather than operational issues, operators will be able to create stronger ties with their subscribers and forge lasting loyalty.

Bharti Telesoft's Instant Messaging & Presence Services (IMPS) platform is a standards-based, carrier grade solution that is claimed to integrate easily with operator and 3rd party VAS and supports group features that enable the carrier to form communities of public and private IMPS users.  The company's Mobile Internet Gateway is an intermediary platform that accelerates the delivery of any web page to any mobile device, adapting content and functionality from sites containing advanced rich web technologies and optimising this for each individual's handset. MIG deploys a unique combination of network, user and application-specific variables to improve overall performance and deliver an optimal customer experience, improving download times on average by 70% and in some cases by up to 100%.

The Data Services Hub will enable Grand Technology and Bharti Telesoft to support operators in their drive to cost-effectively reach out to a wider subscriber base with new messaging and data services. Announcing the tie up, Sabri Amireh, Vice President, Bharti Telesoft, commented, "We have achieved significant success with our Hub Solutions in the market and the Data Services Hub is the latest addition to our Hub Solution portfolio.

In these changing times we believe that operators will embrace the ability to rapidly deploy value added messaging and mobile Internet services, without needing to make significant additional capex and opex investment. We are very pleased to be partnering Grand Technology in their home market of Yemen and throughout the Middle East, as Grand Technology has a wealth of experience in working with operators in the region to bring new and compelling value added services to the mobile community."

Sameh Thabet, Managing Director, Grand Technology, said, "We are looking forward to working with Bharti Telesoft and bringing a rich portfolio of messaging and mobile Internet services to operators and subscribers across the Middle East. We believe that operators in the region will embrace the Data Services Hub given its ability to extend new and compelling services rapidly and cost-effectively to the mobile subscriber base. With Data Services Hub, operators will be able to deliver leading edge technology services, thereby differentiating their brand in the marketplace and improving subscriber satisfaction and loyalty levels."

Grand Technology, part of the Mohammed Saif Thabet Group, is a telecom service provider in Yemen and the first Yemeni company to expand its activities beyond regional boundaries. The company specialises in Value Added Services, providing consultancy services and also operating as a content provider.

Bharti Telesoft is claimed to be among the top three global providers of integrated VAS solutions in rapidly growing markets, having deployed solutions for over 100 mobile operator customers in over 70 countries worldwide. Its solutions help power services to over 500 million mobile subscribers globally. Bharti Telesoft is owned by Bharti Enterprises, one of India's leading business groups, Sequoia Capital, a leading Venture Capital business, and Cisco.
