Virgin Mobile Kuwait by Connect Arabia WLL says it has partnered with Kidzonet to launch a new SIM solution that promises safer digital access for children than traditional parental controls by screening content at the network level.
Announced on Thursday, the new solution – billed as Aman by Virgin Mobile – is available in two plans, offering families a choice between complete social media blocking at the network level or a safe browsing environment that limits exposure to inappropriate and harmful online content.
The Aman SIM plans can be used on any device, including mobile phones, tablets, routers, and other connected devices. Because the filtering takes place at the network level, parents don’t need to install an app or configure parental control settings on devices.
Virgin Mobile said the network-level approach is more consistent and reliable than traditional app-based parental controls, and enables households to maintain connectivity while operating within a controlled digital environment that supports responsible, age-appropriate use.
It also helps families balance access, learning, and communication with the need for stronger safeguards in an increasingly connected digital landscape, said Virgin Mobile Kuwait CEO Aziz Amine.
“Today’s parents are navigating a world that looks completely different from the one they grew up in. They are not anti-technology but they are conscious of how it shapes their children’s lives,” he said in a statement. “Aman by Virgin Mobile helps families strike the balance between independence and protection. It allows children to explore the digital world safely while providing parents with the reassurance that protection is built in from the very beginning.”
That said, Virgin Mobile Kuwait does warn that the Aman service only works when devices are connected to its cellular network. Devices connected to public Wi-Fi won’t be protected, although Virgin Mobile said it does offer home safety solutions for extended protection.
Virgin Mobile also said the Aman service will be expanded across GCC markets throughout 2026 as part of a phased regional rollout.
