Arc Solutions, a provider of integrated networking solutions that simplify connecting and optimising applications and services across the Middle East, has expanded its network to Bahrain in the digital business platform Global Zone.
Arc’s presence in the Global Zone provides local and global customers with flexible and scalable colocation, connectivity, and interconnect solutions in key regional markets, said a press release.
The expansion in Bahrain follows the launch of Arc's software-defined networking (SDN) nodes at the Datamena and Etisalat SmartHub data centres in the UAE in June 2021.
"Arc’s customers' contract with datamena and SmartHub in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Bahrain, a single provider. The Arc roadmap includes further expansion throughout the Middle East planned for late 2021, with more than 20 locations planned for the region over the next three years," said the release.
Mahesh Jaishankar, CEO of Arc said: “Our presence in the Global Zone is another milestone in our journey and approaches the achievement of our vision for a hyper-connected intra-regional connectivity platform.”
Global Zone is a carrier-neutral digital business platform based in Bahrain’s highly secure Tier III data center. In addition to colocation and interconnection solutions, it offers terrestrial and underwater cable access services, IP transit, and global Ethernet.
In April 2019, Bateruco partnered with the Amsterdam Internet Exchange (AMS-IX) to introduce the Manama Internet Exchange (MN-IX) within the Global Zone. Customers can peer and exchange traffic in a secure environment.
