NTT Communications and Workonline Providing Enhanced IP Network Connectivity in Africa

NTT’s data and IP services unit NTT Communications Corporation is partnering with Workonline Communications to provide enhanced IP network connectivity services in Africa.

Founded in South Africa, Workonline provides connectivity services throughout sub-Saharan Africa. Through the partnership with NTT Com, the company will be able to provide seamless connectivity to customers in areas it was previously unable to reach. NTT Com will be able to access new network opportunities provided by Workonline, particularly in metro areas in the sub-Saharan African region.

Clive Hamilton, vice president of Network Services at NTT Europe, said: “This partnership also fits our strategy to take NTT Com’s Global IP Network into some of the fastest-growing Internet markets in Africa and offer our customers more connectivity options in the region.”

Edward Lawrence, Director of Business Development, Workonline Communications, added: “By collaborating with NTT Com, we will be able to improve our ability to provide our partners in the Africa region with further connectivity into key global markets.”
