GTT expands ultra low latency services to Brazil

Cloud networking provider GTT Communications has expanded its platform of low latency services to Brazil’s financial markets.

GTT’s Brazilian offering is a full-service, turnkey solution that includes ultra-low latency connectivity, proximity hosting, time synchronisation services, hardware procurement, installation and maintenance, and local consultancy.

The firm’s comprehensive service and in-country expertise help organisations trading in Brazil avoid the challenge of sourcing and deploying infrastructure in the region. GTT serves local Brazilian and global clients who trade on the B3 Bolsa Balcão Brasil SA exchange, one of the world’s largest financial market infrastructure providers.

“Brazil is a key growth market for the financial sector,” stated Rick Calder, GTT president and CEO. “GTT is committed to delivering a turnkey, latency-optimised service that enables near real-time access to critical market information for our financial clients doing business in Brazil.”

GTT’s Time Synchronisation service complements its ultra-low latency transport services, providing clients with a single source of time across their entire trading infrastructure to correlate data sets and time-stamp trade executions within sub-microsecond UTC accuracy. GTT will offer Time Synchronisation in B3’s new co-location facility when its matching engine is launched in November 2017.
