Asiacell, China Mobile to develop solutions for Iraqi enterprises

Iraqi telco Asiacell says it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China Mobile International (CMI) to collaborate on delivering telecoms and digital solutions for B2B and enterprise services in Iraq.

Under the MoU signed on Monday, Asiacell and CMI will work together on enhancing international connectivity and leveraging CMIs’ expertise in technology applications across various industry verticals.

Asiacell and CMI aim pool their resources to deliver reliable, scalable, and innovative solutions to businesses in Iraq that drive growth and efficiency, said Alex Lee, MD of China Mobile International Middle East.

“Our shared vision for building a digitally connected world and leveraging advanced technologies aligns perfectly with the growth potential of this market,” he said in a statement.

Asiacell CEO and MD Amer Sunna added that the partnership with CMI will contribute to Iraq’s broader digital transformation.

“This collaboration underscores our commitment to delivering world-class telecommunications and technology solutions that meet the evolving needs of businesses in the region,” he said.
