Telkom Indonesia announced on Monday it has signed established a strategic cooperation deal with Conversant Solutions to provide Content Delivery Network (CDN) as-a-service solutions in Indonesia.
The CDN-as-a-service offering will be targeted at enterprise and wholesale segment customers who need high network quality to improve user experience.
Telkom said the service will leverage the telco’s wide network coverage via PoPs in eight major cities in Indonesia and 54 countries, delivering reliable performance in terms of latency, availability and security.
The telco added that its CDN-as-a-service offering goes beyond basic web acceleration, billing it as an integrated solution that can be bundled with additional features such as media service, storage and security, and tailored according to industry needs.
Telkom network director Nanang Hendarno said the service promises fast, efficient and secure distribution of digital content, including video, OTT applications and web services.
“CDN services require a strong and widespread network infrastructure. With this cooperation, Telkom will optimize our national network to support the delivery of faster, stable, and safer digital content to all corners of Indonesia,” he said in a statement.
