XL Axiata Partners with FiberStar to expand XL HOME services

Indonesian fixed and mobile operator XL Axiata has announced it is working with fibre provider FiberStar to expand the reach of its XL HOME fibre-optic network and target several new cities.
Director and Chief Commercial Officer of XL Home and Enterprise Axiata Abhijit Navalekar said, with FiberStar's support, the company hopes to realize the provision of XL Home networks in several cities that are the target market, including outside Java.
"In addition, we are also optimistic that we will be able to increase the number of home-passed to as many as 650,000 by the end of 2021 so that it can encourage an increase in sales of up to 30%, " he added.
According to Abhijit, the demand for XL HOME services continues to increase in line with the community's need to be able to study and work from home during the pandemic period of the past year.
According to a press release, the number of home-passed increased by 100% to 540,000. Apart from prime, fast, and stable internet access quality, customers also get the benefit from various entertainment channels that are presented in the XL HOME product package, it added.
President Director of FiberStar, Sugiharto Darmakusuma also said FiberStar will continue to support the XL HOME plan by focusing on increasing the number of homepass to further expand their services.
Sugiharto added that this is under the mission of FiberStar in the development of digitization in Indonesia. The collaboration between FiberStar and XL HOME strives to help more people to do many activities from home
