Turkcell upgrading network service assurance across its footprint with Teoco

Turkcell is implementing Teoco’s Helix 9.0 unified service assurance suite to reduce costs and increase the efficiency of its multi-vendor network.

The operator has over 66.7 million customers across nine countries, including Turkey, Ukraine, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Georgia and Moldova. It launched LTE-Advanced services in April 2016 across 81 cities, and its services cover 99.75% of the population in its home country Turkey.

Helix 9.0 brings together Teoco’s performance, fault, service and customer experience management capabilities into a single view of performance and service across all elements of an operator’s network. The solution allows Turkcell to monitor its network from end-to-end, enabling it to identify and correct faults more quickly and to optimise the network more efficiently.

The solution also simplifies the management of multi-technology networks, ensuring that all customers benefit from the best possible service – whether they use a 2G or 3G connection, or the latest 4G-enabled device. Furthermore, Turkcell’s selection of Helix will help it prepare to upgrade its network to a next generation cross-domain hybrid network architecture.

Gediz Sezgin, Network CTO, Turkcell, said: “Teoco was able to provide us with a product that met our particular network performance management needs, supported by a significant local presence and resources that provide valuable expertise, system support and insight for us to draw upon, as and when we need it.”

Atul Jain, CEO of Teoco, said: “Turkcell will use the HELIX service assurance suite to make the transition from its existing network to next generation cross-domain NFV/SDN enabled Hybrid networks. We look forward to working with Turkcell on an ongoing basis, to advance network quality and enhance customer experience, now and into the future.”
