Telefónica Mexico has awarded Optimi a planning and optimisation contract to help it manage both its network growth and the increased demand it is currently experiencing for its voice and data services. Optimi will utilise x-Dimension, a capital-efficiency planning solution, to assist Telefónica Mexico's ongoing planning and design.

Optimi, which offers customisable planning, optimisation and monitoring solutions for new wireless technologies, has announced a major planning and optimisation contract with Telefónica Mexico to help the latter manage network growth and increased demand for voice and data services. During the engagement, Optimi will use x-Dimension, a capital-efficiency planning solution, to assist Telefónica Mexico's ongoing planning and design.

x-Dimension is part of the X Design and Optimisation Product Suite, and enables operators to optimally provision each network node to ensure maximum service quality and minimise the required CapEx and OpEx investments.

Additionally, Optimi will provide x-AFP (Automatic Frequency Planning), an application that improves spectrum efficiency and QoS, to assist in optimising network performance across Mexico. x-AFP, part of the X Design and Optimisation Product Planning Suite, will allow Telefónica Mexico to increase spectrum capacity and improve the end user's perceived QoS.
