Viettel Business Solutions will provide NOW Corp with ICT products and services in the Philippines as the latter’s mobile subsidiary NOW Telecom looks to establish itself as the market’s fourth major operator.

The firms have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) which will see the Vietnamese group delivering solutions to “NOW’s existing and future customers across multiple industry segments.”

NOW Telecom is preparing a public listing on the Philippines’ bourse and readying its 5G network as it prepares to take on the established duopoly of Globe Telecom and Smart Communications (PLDT) as well as newcomer DITO (formerly Mislatel).

CommsUpdate reports that the agreement will involve “participating in potential ICT biddings and exploiting the market of digital transformation consulting services, artificial intelligence, data analytics and cybersecurity in the country.”
