Bharti parters with Microsoft

Bharti Airtel has partnered with Microsoft to deliver its Office 365 cloud services to Indian businesses.

Bharti Airtel has partnered with Microsoft to deliver its Office 365 cloud services to Indian businesses. The deal sees Bharti's cloud infrastructure delivering an increasing number of Software as a Service solutions to small and medium sized businesses.

Bharti already has a similar deal in place with HP, which supplies other solutions like email. Bharti is said to be aiming for a comprehensive cloud computing solution, which permits easy sharing of documents across organizations, as well as outward facing capabilities such as company websites, security packages and email.

Analysts at research firm IDC claim that the Indian cloud computing market will grow by as much as 70% in this year.

Mr. Bhaskar Pramanik, Chairman of Microsoft India said: "We are pleased that Bharti Airtel will offer our world-class cloud productivity solution to SMBs in India... Microsoft's partnership will allow Bharti Airtel's customers to continue to stay ahead of the curve through solutions that truly fit their needs."
