SLA Digital and VUZ team up for Middle East and Asia mobile payment option

SLA Digital, a global provider of direct carrier billing, has announced a partnership with VUZ, which describes itself as an immersive video platform revolutionising digital experiences. The collaboration, say the partners, will enable a seamless mobile payment option for VUZ customers across the Middle East and Asia.

VUZ is a live-streaming app which claims it removes physical barriers and allows users to immerse themselves in the three-dimensional world of live streaming.  Users can engage with panoramic videos and control what they want to see from each angle by touching their screen.

With a growing user base of over 15 million, VUZ is focused on immersive content, delivering experiences that range from live concerts and sports to exclusive celebrity access and global events, all in 360° and virtual reality (VR). This partnership allows VUZ customers to subscribe to premium 360° and immersive video content by charging payments directly to their mobile phone bills.

Enabling this is SLA Digital, which works with many of the world’s major mobile operators to power mobile revenues through carrier billing and mobile identity. Acting as a hub for clients, it says its platform bridges the gap between mobile operators and trusted partners. Its team of experts is headquartered in the UK and Malaysia.

Indeed the rollout of the service has started with leading (and so far unnamed) mobile operators in Malaysia as well as Bahrain. Additional markets will follow.

As for the target market, Khaled Zaatarah, Founder and CEO of VUZ, explains: “This partnership is instrumental in strengthening our presence in mobile-centric regions and ensuring our content is easy to access for everyone.”
