MTN Selects CSG for Comprehensive Managed Services Program

Pan-African operator MTN has selected CSG for a long-term managed services engagement that will enable its South African unit to simplify and streamline its operations and focus its resources on core business lines.

Under the terms of the multiyear agreement, CSG will provide end-to-end management of the MTN wholesale billing and business services platform. The engagement includes the management of a variety of complex solutions to home-grown MTN tools and systems from other third-party providers.

Neil Tomkinson, Chief Information Officer of MTN South Africa, said: “[CSG’s]management of our billing stack will allow us to remain competitive and serve our customers better by enabling us to bring new products to market faster, to invest in innovative new service offerings, and to reinvest the cost savings from the managed services engagement back into strategic business solutions.”
