Omantel upgrades converged charging platform with Redknee

Omantel is upgrading to the latest version of Redknee’s converged charging platform, Redknee Unified, to support its 4G/LTE network.

The highly scalable and flexible solution provides Omantel with innovative real-time charging and billing capabilities to monetise and launch new data services, as well as the agility to cross-sell and upsell across its multi-play services to advance the experience of its 4G/LTE subscribers.

The Redknee Unified platform provides Omantel with the ability to converge billing, charging and customer care for all of its services, including voice, messaging, data, mobile and fixed lines. This affords it the simplicity and transparency to charge and bill for any transaction regardless of the payment method. Omantel can leverage Redknee Unified to maximise the value of its network and launch new data offerings with innovative tariff models and value-added services faster to the market.

Talal Al Mamari, Chief Executive Officer of Omantel, commented: “With Redknee’s real-time charging solution, we can offer superior and innovative products, services and tariffs to our customers across all Omantel networks, in order to improve customer experience, create value and increase customer loyalty through innovation and differentiation.”

Lucas Skoczkowski, Redknee’s CEO commented: “In today’s competitive environment, service providers are constantly challenged to deliver a greater customer experience while driving profitability. With Redknee, Omantel can create new business models, generate new revenue streams and provide a better multi-channel customer experience.”

Redknee’s highly scalable and flexible solution enables CSPs to monetise third party relationships and content, support resellers and dealers and launch multi-country operations quickly, effectively and with a low total cost of ownership.
