NuRAN misses mobile site rollout target in DRC

Canada-based network vendor NuRAN Wireless missed its target for new mobile sites deployed in the Democratic Republic of Congo this month citing transit issues.

In a statement, the company stated it deployed 20 mobile sites in the DRC instead of the targeted 42 in March this year. The company detailed that 21 towers are currently in the country “in transit, delaying their deployment”. It hopes to resolve the situation in the coming days.

NuRAN said that the deployment of the remaining sites will mark a vital step for the company to achieve positive EBITDA. It has deployed 40 new sites in 2025 and maintained its target of 204 by the end of June, despite this delay.

The company stated it has reached its revenue forecast due to cash generation from its live sites. Going forward the company said it will continue to expand its network as “top priority”  in remote locations.
