Zong debuts Pakistan’s first internet-only 4G SIM

Pakistani 3G and 4G operator Zong has launched the country’s first 4G-capable internet-only SIM.

The SIM is compatible with all internet-capable devices, including smartphones, SIM-enabled laptops & tablets, and devices such as Wingle and Mifi.

It will offer users 3G and 4G internet services depending on cellular coverage, but not voice calls. To compensate for this, it will be provided via bundles featuring double volume data offers to cater to the needs of subscribers. The bundles range from 4GB to 100GB.

Zong’s Chief Commercial Officer Babar Bajwa said that subscribers across more than 250 cities in Pakistan would benefit from the new SIM, saying: “We are the only mobile network that offer high-powered 3G, 4G services simultaneously. Zong subscribers have an ideal opportunity to make best of the internet services…using the fastest 4G Internet SIM.”
