AIS launches debit card with Bangkok Bank

AIS partnered with Bangkok Bank to expand its fintech strategy by launching a debit card, which the operator aims to have six million accounts opened by 2028.

In a statement, AIS unveiled the Be1st Digital AIS POINTS debit card which comes in physical and digital forms. Subscribers will be able to make withdrawals, transfers ad payments via ATM machines as well as contactless payments.

By using the card subscribers can gain loyalty points for money spent to redeem minutes and data, as well as food, in-app purchases, and discounts on other consumer products.

AIS chief financial officer Tee Seeumpornroj (pictured, right) said: “AIS is committed to developing digital technology infrastructure to be capable and ready to connect with main industries in order to create growth for the country's digital economy. Throughout the years, we have believed in working with our partners. Today, AIS continues to build an ecosystem using our combined strengths to create various benefits for Thai people and the country.”
