Oman Tower Company to lease towers to OFT

Oman Future Telecoms (OFT) is leasing towers from Oman Tower Company in order to bring its wireless offering to the market.

In October 2017, the OFT consortium was granted the country’s third mobile licence. In September 2019, it entered into a 15-year strategic partnership agreement with Vodafone Group to work on deploying a new network and then delivering services throughout Oman.

The companies are planning to launch commercial services in H2 2020.

Oman Tower Company was established in 2018 to construct and operate telecom towers and other infrastructure for lease to licence holders.
